Interesting times going into this earnings report. The analysts are much more positive than the general market appears to be. If Apple reports to the upside as most are expecting, then it will all come down to what kind of guidance that they give. And depending on how the iPad and Apple Watch are selling, there may be some skepticism despite some good overall numbers going forward. Last earning report I was nervous about things getting too positive that no earning report could live up to. Now, because of the general market's take on Apple, I wonder if there is some downside that we are not expecting.

Overall, I am still positive about Apple. Even if the Apple Watch report is as bad as some are saying, I think it will eventually catch on, maybe not in this fiscal year for Apple but maybe by the holiday season. Maybe there are some surprises in the new phone that will add some functionality to the watch. I would be more skeptical if someone like ICahn were selling since he may be able to get a greater audience with those in the know. The fact that he sold Netflix but is holding Apple may be telling, especially since his price targets are much higher than most analysts.

I have sold a small part of my position in Apple in order to better balance the portfolio. I will sell more as the price rises, which I am expecting/hoping for it to do.
