I suspect the illegal population at 3.5% in the country is a low ball number, but it's a mess no matter how you figure it.

There seems to be quite a reluctance to give an accurate accounting of the number of illegals....Politicians on both sides are prone to quote out of date numbers when talking on the subject.....Shame, guilt or maybe we can't handle the truth and they are protecting our tender sensibilities.
