Ted RE...Don't tell me the war is over when its not!

Having reading comprehension problems again huh?. I said the active part of the war is over. It was declared over when Gw landed on the carrier. There hasn't been a large set piece battle in Iraq since. Did a large portion of Saddams army fade away and not surrender yes. That has happened in every war fought. Remember there were Japanese holdouts on some islands for 30 yrs. As for our troops coming home, our troops are still in Germany, Western Europe, Japan, and SK also. Are you saying we are still at war there also then. The international community agrees we are now in the occupation stage, a stage we never got to in Nam. So quit trying to make Iraq into another Nam. It could easily backfire upon you.
