Bobby, Office Depot has stated that the merger will have a 1-2 cent negative impact on 98 earnings while in 99 and 00 earnings will increase 2 and 6 cents respectively. From what I have read, analysts and Wall Street seem to think this is a good match and will benefit both companies. Todays 10% haircut on ODP stock could be a knee jerk reaction, sympathy with the rest of the market and some profit taking from the recent run up, take your pick. I'm thinking and hoping there will be a bounce tomorrow especially after Staples beat earning today after the bell. Good Trading El Ferna
