TO ALL: Smith Barney FINALLY dropped coverage on The Shaw Group! What a bunch of idiots. Guess they needed to drop that little blunder from their records.... Also, more news on the acquisition front. SGR is attempting to acquire a pipe fabricator in the UK. The Jeffries analyst believes it could add as much as $0.45 per share earnings to the 1999 estimates. The acquisition is being made with cash and the revolving credit line, so there will be no dilution to shares.

With SB dropping coverage, I believe all analysts have a buy rating on th SGR. Oh, Jeffries said they will be raising their target price to $36 if the Prospect Industries acquisition is consumated (as early as next week).

Just completed a fishing trip out of Venice, LA. (actually stayed in Port Eades at the end of the Miss. river). What a great time....for all of you living in LA, you may not realize how fortunate you are to have all of that good fishing, hunting and eating down there!

regards,
greg
