Abby Joseph Cohen might wish that was the pattern! It sure wasn't last quarter. I don't think SGI usually preannounced at all, except Jan '96, Sep '96, and Jan '97, reasons being government shutdown, order holdups, and manufacturing snags, respectively. I was certainly shocked in April. > If we don't hear a preannouncement from SGI by Friday, > it would typically mean that earnings will be close to the ACE. > This has been the past pattern.
