Even the army commanders based over there are saying the level of sophistication of the insurgents and their equipment is improving. Doesn't that mean the insurgents are getting more desperate? ;) Who knows, Zo?! You get so much mixed info. coming out of Iraq. One day Bremer says the Iraqis will have free elections by 30 June and the Americans will put back on that date. Next we hear, the Americans will pull back by 30 June but Iraq is not ready for elections because of the continuing violence. But if the violence is continuing, how can we pull back? We saw how the insurgents violated two Iraqi police stations with impunity last week. Then, one minute we hear the insurgents are al Qaeda or al Qaeda linked; the next that they are former Iraqi military. I am unclear if they don't know what the truth is, or if politics is skewing everything. Why can't things be like LOTR?!! ;~)) ted
