You seem to be one of the most rational guys on SI, do you really believe these rumors or do think its just manipulation? Tim, I do not believe the LU rumor from Friday. I feel that was planted. I do believe that ASND is shopping itself to be acquired and not based on rumor. I base that on industry consolidation. I would suspect the most likely candidate to be NT and there is no rumor for that at present. I am not long on ASND for the pure speculation of a buyout. I do like the long term fundamentals so feel the selling was overdone. A near term buyout would just be a bonus but would not use that to play a stock. There is one exception. I lost a bundle on FORE systems when the fundamentals died. Rumors about them being acquired crop up regularly. I play the rumor for a point or two with an attempt to get my losses back as a matter of personal pride. I never play as many shares as I have in ASND. I may be even with FORE by the middle of 98 at this rate<G> It does confuse my why so many people will buy a stock on a rumor. That seems to be what pops the price for a short time until the rumor dies out. I wonder if the institutions are that gullible. Glenn
