Indeed. I can't imagine ever living in the bay area again because of that. Capital Hill area of Denver was still quite reasonable for renting last I check. they have blocks of old hotels that have been turned in apts. when I was there in 99/00, there were lots of young people and also elderly on fixed incomes. You have the big park right there and downtown is a mile walk. and a lot slower than the bay area. no ocean, and no river. k, they have something they call a creek but... but, hey, can't have quite it all.
