Most, maybe all of us, are individual investors. In the shadows of enormous Wall St., where AXC is hardly yet on the radar screen, that makes us "the herd", mavericks, trivial, likely to be misled, " the little people",first to flee turbulence, not worthy of serious note etc. To "them" we are peons. Me, I just LOVE that status. It allows me to find bargains like Ampex. Sure didn't buy it for this reason, but in the time I have owned AXC and had my first experiences with message boards , I have come to see this proud little company as sort of an archetype of market underdogs. So beyond any analysis that leads me to hold or buy more, I'm rooting for this company and each and every shareholder in a big way. Adds an edge to it all for me. Here's hoping we are all singing a peon's paean someday. And can leisurely sell with a smile to the "institutions" who have come to see AXC as a wonderful sober investment for the highly trained, and suddenly suitable for framing. WAYYY beyond its present price. PS Ron, thanks for the tip on the book. I'll read it someday. |
