Again a passive system to heat water, wouldn't work at all here in Washington state. I think most folks believe the discussion of Solar panels implies electrical energy production. Which you also would then use to heat water. The power I saved by not heating the water is fossil fuel energy saved. My house is surrounded by 100ft fir trees in shade most of the time, green stuff growing on the roof. Since all of these trees are between my house and the lake I cannot cut any of those trees to get more sun since the shore line commission believes it would negatively effect the stocked trout habitat in the lake. True...solar power is not ideal for every region of the country. Al
