Russia and China will lose big in Venezuela.

Venezuela is a black hole for Russia, where billions of dollars have been sunk… and the effect is zero," analyst Mikhail Krutikin told Kommersant newspaper. He talked of "utter incompetence and squandering."

China has lent over $50 billion to Venezuela through oil-for-loan agreements over the past decade, securing energy supplies for its fast-growing economy.

I expect that African backlash against China will be next. The neo-colonialism China imposed in African countries will soon bite

Take Zambia for instance:
Siulapwa defines Zambia’s position with China as no longer a “partnership”, but “economic slavery.”

The root of the problem, he says, is “the way our leaders are negotiating these deals with China.” He states that “huge” kickbacks” are the motivation, and that Zambia’s “strategic assets” have been given over to Chinese control for as much as 30 years.

...

For some Zambians, one of the most egregious indicators of China’s influence in Zambia occurred in December 2017, when the Zambian government commissioned eight Chinese nationals into the Zambian police force.

The incident provoked a national outcry, resulting in a reversal of the appointments. The damage to the Zambian government’s prestige had been done, however; for many, this incident was proof positive that Zambian leadership has been compromised by the Chinese government.
