BorderManager is a pure standards product. The HTTP, FTP, and Gopher proxy caching is happening using 100% IP protocols. BorderManager does include features that allow for IPX to IP gateways, but the core product is now being used by customers in pure IP shops!

The "transition" that might have you confused is the next major release of NetWare which includes the second part of our IP protocol support story. NetWare/IP has been around for years, but our next major OS release will include our Native/IP functionality. This is a full migration of all of NetWare's file/print/directory services into a pure IP implementation. This, of course, is in addition to the support of other standard IP protocols ...
