Server side on x86 I'd go Linux rather than Solaris x86 simply because it actually has real 3rd party vendor support. Also as a bonus Redhat 5.2 ships with Sybase server. Linux is now where Solaris x86 could have been about 3 years ago. This just highlights Sun's lack of planning for this important market place. /James
