The reason is that the statement is not true ,Americans in general don't support what Israel is up to over there, for that matter they realize that all along their intention is and was to NEVER allow a Palestinian state and if need be throw them all into the Mediterranean Sea. This was so well put by Net and Yahoo. One must understand here that the media in general made sure that the human bombings were shown over and over again but of the atrocities committed by Israel we only received a glimpse of and at the same time they fed us full of "We offered them 93% of what they wanted".Go look at a map of the West Bank with its 200 plus settlements and then you can understand exactly what it is they offered, a disjointed country in which a Palestinian who wanted to visit his friends a mile away would have to pass through at least 2 Israeli checkpoints.Every settlement has a SAFE zone with access back to Israel controlled by the IDF. Had Arafat signed this,he would have signed his own death warrant.Now why these idiots (palestinians )didn't bring a map with them when they were interviewed on TV is beyond me.I always say a picture is better than a thousand words,especially when your english is marginal at best.That map alone would have sufficed to change American sentiment big time,for I'm sorry to say most Americans really don't understand the Israeli intentions. Where is the Israeli voice of reason for that matter where is the reasonable voice of American Jews?
