Hi Scott! re: >I'm not the one to answer this ...<

Do you know who is the 'one' that should answer this question, especially if it came from Eric Schmidt instead of Don Earl?

Is it now John Slitz? ... has there been an internal announcement that explains his responsibilities?

I think Don is right on top of the major remaining problem that is preventing Novell's Phoenix like return to leadership in the Networking Software business. I would sure like to see substantial improvement in the company's performance in both sales and marketing.

Your (and most of the company too) technical work has been much better than required for the past year at least ... still don't see any effective effort to turn that work into significant revenue though! It takes a bit more than the ability to write good software to make a successful software company ... somebody has to actually sell it too!

That part (selling) doesn't seem to be working very well yet, and I think that a few well aimed questions and statements of concern are appropriate now.

Thanks!
