<The preferred is much safer in my opinion and this investment is very likely to have a continuous dividend.> There seem to be lots of pretty high quality pref names out there yeilding > 10%... some of them yeild as much as the common [Glimscher @ 14% for instance]. At this point in the economic cycle [recession imminent IMO] I'm not buying any more common unless I REALLY like the story. That said, I think good REITS will be fine long run at todays prices... I have plenty, just don't want to get too crazy. DAK
