<<How to make or where can you buy a cross cable?>>

Pick 4 of the 8 conductors in the ethernet cable. I used Blue, White/Blue, Green & White/Green. If you place the RJ-45 connector on the palm of your hand, upside down (so the release clasp is setting on your palm) and pointing away from you (so that the open end into which you would insert the cable is pointing toward you and the copper conductors are pointing away from you), then the pinouts from left to right would be numbered 1-8 and color coded as follows:

1 White/Green
2 Green
3 White/Blue
4 *empty*
5 *empty*
6 Blue
7 *empty*
8 *empty*

Install the cable and crimp. On the other end use this sequence, install cable and crimp:

1 White/Blue
2 Blue
3 White/Green
4 *empty*
5 *empty*
6 Green
7 *empty*
8 *empty*
