I can't even imagine what this country would be like if Lincoln, Roosevelt, Truman or even JFK had caved in when they were faced with the dissent they had to contend with. I remember the Truman and Kennedy eras, and although I was a kid it seemed to me that the country was behind them. The vicious dissent we're seeing now didn't happen then.

It would be another country, altogether.

I'm a strong believer in the ballot box. In a republic, you elect officials to do the people's bidding, and if they don't you vote them out. I don't believe in recall elections and impeachments only in case of high crimes and misdemeanors.

I've heard talk of some Democratic politicians pursuing impeachment on Bush. I believe these politicians should be severely punished at the ballot box.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with the whole Democratic party and some of the Republicans.
