I was asked by Jon to go shopping at brands4less and see what my opinion of the overall experience was. I decided to do it just out of curiosity more then anything.

I tried three different stores, housewares, furniture and toys. First I think they need to change their name from brands4less to brands4aboutthesame. The only prices I found that were perhaps somewhat less expensive then you might find them in the stores was the furniture. I'm absolutely positive about the toy prices being the same as we just bought toys last month which were the same price as offered.

Overall I found the experience tedious and difficult. I couldn't match China, Stainless (no Silver), and Glassware to see how they might look together. I couldn't get a good feel of what the items actual looked like because of the poor picture quality. The prices were comparable to those found in the regular stores. No discounts to make me want
to wait for a shipment no matter if it was free delivery. Also I had to order each set of China separately from the Stainless and Glassware. You couldn't place them all on one order. That meant entering my secure information at least three times to get everything I wanted and I detest filling out forms repeatedly.

I next tried living room furniture. There was a better selection then I thought there would be and I believe the prices were quite good overall and the offer of free delivery for a purchase of over $699. That's not too hard to do when purchasing furniture. The drawback was that I couldn't sit on the items to get a feel of how comfortable they
would be.

I thought I'd get a second opinion so I asked my son to join me in the toy store. He immediately went to the Star Wars action figures. There was only one easy to find item available out of the three listed. Needless to say he was disappointed. He next went to the Legos section and was quite impressed by the selection and even found a few hard
to find sets, that he has been wanting, available. He may actually purchase something from the Legos section when he gets his next residual check.

Bottom line though is it's difficult to shop there. You can't keep adding items from one store to the next. Each purchase has to be made in each store. It's more like shopping in the mall then a big department store or Walmart where you can make all your purchases at one time. They need to consolidate the purchasing of items from all the stores to make it less stressful then shopping in a mall.

If they can add more hard to find items, improve picture quality, make it so you can purchase all the items you select at one time without having to fill out more then one form, and the biggie for me, make sure that they are actually selling brands4less then I can find them in the store they may just have something here. There is potential, but it needs work.
