MJF's REAL issue is using embryonic stem cells for research, which evidently has been some research done, and there is NO evidence in them helping anyone....
Fox does not mention any of the other stem cell research that is being done, and at least the "adult stem cells" research has had some positive results.
Fox's issue is the killing of life or not. He doesn't say it, but where does one draw the line? We've talked about that before, and so far, there is no conclusive, and agreed upon, time where one crosses that line.
For instance, is murdering your baby ONE DAY from delivery, Murder, or is it nothing..."just" killing of a fetus. We all heard about that situation within the last week or so. The mother actually shot herself in the abdomen, killing what was referred to as the "fetus", and then she actually had a funeral for the "fetus"..... And she wasn't charged with murder.
Fox evidently thinks that it is OK to harvest embryonic stem cells up to the instance the baby is actually born. To my knowledge, there is NO line drawn as to the actual time when killing a fetus is actually murder....
And then, should the Federal Government fund what some feel is murder?
Will we come to a time in the future that we feel it is alright to "grow" a child, and keep it in womb until the week before probably delivery, then kill it to use for harvesting organs, and stem cells, etc????? |
