Another take on IE5. (Also worth reading as a comparison with Navigator's current and forthcoming versions and with MacIE.) Browser brouhaha bubbles up: Microsoft debuts Internet Explorer upgrade seattletimes.com Still, the characterization of IE 5 as an incremental upgrade does it a disservice. True, nothing upon installation leaps up and knocks you over. But there are a slew of refinements, improvements and enhancements, which, added together, make IE 5 a must-have upgrade. [Still seems "incremental" to me, but I eventually download all the new versions anyway, so it doesn't make much difference.]
