Hey all. Interesting Forbes article today, and there was a section for those interested in tissue engineering:

Also, there was a newsday article in 5/21 newspapers about research being done at MIT with R. Langer and J. Elisseeff in collaboration with ATIS on injectible cartilage contained in "hydrogel," a plastic injected in liquid form that turns into a pliable solid when subjected to a beam of uv light. It hasn't yet been tested in living joints, although it appears to hold much promise, way up the road. First the cartilage study has to get rolling in humans for arthroscopic purposes.

Anyone here heading to the annual meeting?
