Government spending as a percentage of GDP has greatly increased over the decades. Non-military government employment has gone up and now that the military is no longer shrinking total government employment will go up. The amount of government regulation goes up every year. Even a Republican president with a Republican congress signs a new major entitlement program in to law. And this is swinging towards the Ayn Rand model??
