S Korean President impeached AFP Seoul March 12: The South Korean President, Mr Roh Moo-Hyun was suspended from office today in an unprecedented parliamentary impeachment vote, plunging the country into political turmoil ahead of next month’s general elections. Requiring a two-third majority in the 271-member National Assembly, lawmakers voted 193 votes to two to suspend Mr Roh over violations of election rules, corruption and incompetence, the parliamentary Speaker announced.
