There is still considerable uncertainty about the role of cloud cover in global warming - thin high clouds likely increase warming, while dense low clouds cause cooling.

Perhaps the most credible global warming skeptic, MIT's Prof Lindzen, believes that reduced high cloud cover in the tropics with increased CO2 will prevent significant global warming.
