It is also a good example of what the Brits call the "Tall Poppy" syndrome. A lot of people hate a successful person. Especially if they can be characterized as strong or arrogant. They love to see them brought down. Gives Court TV another rich subject.

I didn't know Martha Stewart was once a broker. She obviously should have known better, if guilty. All for 45 grand. Real "fox and the grapes" story.
