Kevin: Very simple. Some people want to manage their money on their own out of interest and some people have no interest in managing their assets and are willing to pay a fee. Bob encourages people to invest on their own but understands that some people have no interest and are willing to pay a fee. I see no contradiction here.

As a matter of fact, and this comment is not directed at you, I see many posts on this thread that are misleading or are just plain untrue.
