When I was young my dad would take me to visit my uncle at the farm. Something uncle Lewis would say to me was, "If you can't get a board, get a plank." which was then followed by a good laugh. I didn't understand it at the time but it was good to see him laugh. Even so, there was still the issue of dad ordering the chickens to bark.
