I don't know, folks, this trial has me all worked up.

As much as I'd like to think there will be a settlement, the behavior on both sides of the aisle just doesn't convince me. The more I watch this whole thing play out, the more it reminds me of one of my family's grand get-togethers. I have a big family, and sure enough every time we try and get folks together for some nice quality time, something always goes wrong. Just to many moving parts is all. Sort of like this case with the DOJ and the 19 states.

We will see. I do know that Judge Jackson hates this trial, and his life would be a whole lot more enjoyable if it just went away. But as much as he can pressure, he cannot make them settle. It's a crap shoot. Plain and simple.

The good news is that if MSFT loses this round in Court, I am very confident they will win round two. I will take any loss with Jackson as a buying opportunity, regardless of how much the stock gets taken down.

If nothing else, this trial will at a minimum make MSFT a much better company.
