Not all that shines is gold. I list quite a few of such professionals among my friends. (Not all Dems - Some a Reps, and some are just Freudians). They are having a grand old time getting paid cash. With new extended Psych coverage they would be forced to take insurance -- or, as Mq would say, to become state's serfs.
