Jim .. Oil sands,oil shales and coal to liquids are huge resource bases, but no matter how much money we throw at them .. they have little likelihood of scaling up production sufficient to replace present consumption of traditional crudes .. The potential extraction rates are a real problem for these 'resources' .. Triff ..
