> EXDS does not "resell" NTAP. Fujitsu and Dell resell NTAP with their own branding. EXDS uses NTAP for storage in their web hosting service, i am told.
My understanding of the EXDS business model (http://www.exodus.com) is that they never own themselves any of the per-customer equipment (servers, switches, storage) in the center. Rather the customer owns it, and EXDS makes it easy for the customer by offering to resell at minimal markup certain lines of standard 'best-of-breed' equipment, including Sun servers and Cisco routers/switches, and I gather now NTAP storage.

I work in programming R&D (NCR, AT&T, and Paradyne in last 3 years), and NTAP is not well known that I can see. Most shops, the mindset is still server attached storage, eg Sun or HP. So I see any publicity (e.g. recent Mars landing, oops!) as a plus in the mindshare portion of the NTAP campaign.
