The Henderson Mine should produce 40 million pounds of moly in 2006 to supply the current growing global molybdenum demand of 375 million pounds. Besides the traditional 80% of moly that goes into steel production (think pipelines) there is a need for moly in such diverse areas as nano-technology, nuclear pebble bed technology and for use as a catalyst in the liquefaction of coal, which appears to be growing in popularity.
