In post 1849 Mark Brophy said: "Many of the x86 systems sold by Radisys contain a Microsoft OS and they consider Wind River an obstacle to their goal of Windows Everywhere."

In post 1855 he said: "Radisys earns healthy profits because they have a monopoly on the Intel market."

Folks, we all know that Compaq, Dell, and Gateway sell boxes with Intel chips and a Microsoft OS, but they are not monopolies. What is so special about Radisys? When I followed that thread last year it seemed to be full of Johnny-come-lately momentum traders claiming RSYS was the "Son of Intel". I still have not figured out what is so special about Radisys.
