The problem with "non-profit" organizations is that people think they can operate less expensively because they don't need to make a profit. That assumption is wrong. They have to make a profit to stay in business. They just don't have to make as much profit because they don't have to pay taxes. "Profit" is a misnomer. Profit is the cost of staying in business.
