Yes, it is true, Oral.

(I said he didn't have it --- 'cause he doesn't... it's in the State's old document vault, not in his personal possession.)

However, if it makes you feel any better, the State has confirmed (even the Republican Governor) that all data on the official issued birth certificate matches that on the old document.

But the new document is the *official* birth certificate --- and it's exactly the same document that is issued to each and ever citizen of the State when they request their birth certificate.

(The State of Hawaii, as have nearly all the 50 States, has changed it's official forms several times since World War II... and works from an electronic record system now.)
