Interesting strategy of vertical integration with PRI ... is their minority holdings information in the 10-K?

I agree with your assessment of assuming a significant stake in a partnering firm as a lower-risk means of participating in their successes.

Along these lines, Intel is a 5.9% holder of VLSI, which I just happened to know as an owner of VLSI.
