I need to replace the fan on my power supply and need some advice.

The local computer supply store advised me to change the entire power supply as opposed to the fan which would of course be quite a bit more expensive. They said that replacing just the fan would involve soldering, etc and that it was not worth it. Is soldering a couple of wires difficult for someone who has never done it before?

My present power supply is a 250 watt ATX L&C Technology unit. A replacement unit would cost about $40 vs about $10 for the fan alone.

I would appreciate any advise on what my best option would be.
