Attention all DLJDirect Account Traders

they WILL margin your ASTN purchases but
not for long. DLJDirect has a tendency
of denying marginability when small stocks
are volatile. I encountered this recently
with PQT. I bought PQT $5 stock at 50% loan
margin, and the very next day, when I wanted
to long up more, they suddenly required 100%!
the shares I had already gotten on margin were
still loaned against, but the new shares needed
cash to cover them. I expect the exact same
thing to happen to ASTN as soon as DLJDirect
"catches-on" so you'd better get your shares
sooner, rather than later if margin is that
important to you.
