Its a good thing Woodward has a lot of credibility. With these people, God would have a hard time defending himself. You've given Bush no credit whatsoever for the unprecedented access he gave Woodward, and for the fact that the White House continues to recommend the book as a good resource for the history of the war, "Warts and All". This is one of the most political White Houses I have ever seen. What I give Karl Rove credit is for this latest of clever political gambits. They can't take Woodward head on like O'Neil or Clarke because he's too important an American icon. So they endorse him and only disagree with the points that make them look bad......."read the book but there are parts where you need to use a grain of salt. Wink* wink"! Clever, clever, clever...........Rove is anything but not clever. That does not make him or this White House honest or open. No other White House in history has done this. It makes the Left (and the Leftist media) look like idiots, having complained this is the "most secretive White House in history", then they embrace and support the release of this book. The only idiots in this game are the Rep. stalwarts like yourself who buy into this $ht. Like I told you, smart Reps. like my friend are not falling for it. He thinks Bush is crazy..........however, I think Bush is too dumb to be crazy. Whatever! It is about honesty and integrity. Can you imagine Bill Clinton having done something like this? Please.........bringing up Clinton's name causes such a welling of nostalgia, I am almost moved to tears. I can't believe what you all have done to my country in three short years. You should be ashamed but instead you b*tch at us for not being as stupid as you are. Bush has turned my country into a facsimile of TX, a bush league state if ever there was one.
