At least children can still have Thanksgiving as a holiday. At least, for now that is. Given the trend, some academic may eventually decide that Thanksgiving promotes God in some abstract way. They will change the name to "Thank You Day!" or something stupid. I wonder if they will still let the kids make the turkey where you trace your hand on construction paper, cut it out, and stick it on a paper plate? Probably so, at the request of the turkey industry.

But we can't have children running around wishing each other "Merry Christmas." This is a gateway behavior that might lead to further evils such as the giving of gifts or the taping of a red socks to the wall. Egad, the horror....

And Happy Thanksgiving to you too, Solon. I am thankful (to God) for our little debates.
