OT, Dear John, you should start a thread about the wireless revolution. How will it impact our lives? [ But I hope all of this futurism is at least as smart as an ATM card and you at least have some last minute control over your life when you lose your wallet or purse or jogging bag.] Well, I don't seem to have any control over my life lately. Yesterday, I left a bag with a pound of Starbuck's coffee on the bus along with the credit-card slip that I had signed. We had to cancel the card. On Friday, the 13, I broke my portable CD player. Last week I left my goggles and swimming hat at the pool. At least, I got them back. Applied Materials (AMAT) crashed even though it had good earnings.
