Doesn't it bother anyone in the least that Ms. Peppers is Mr. Stamm's wife and Mr. Ebeling is his best friend, and there don't seem to be any really independent board members?

Just checking.

BTW, I wonder if Ms. Peppers' great grandfather was the founder of Magnolia Petroleum Company:

"In 1918, the company (Standard Oil of New York) purchased a 45% interest in Magnolia Petroleum Co., which had helped pioneer the oil business in the Southwest. Magnolia was 20 years old by then, and had pipelines, refineries -- including one in Beaumont, Texas, which is MOBIL's largest today -- and a number of marketing outlets in the Southwest.

Socony (Standard Oil of New York) acquired complete ownership of Magnolia in 1925, along with the company's extensive pipeline business, which had been organized as a separate corporation...."

Do we have a Steel Magnolia here?

Just wondering.

M.M.
