Tejek, another example of Texas doing good for California:
"estimated that 40,000 gallons of fuel spilled. Initial worst-case estimates had put the spill 1 million gallons.

Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, the Houston firm that owns the pipeline, estimated that 500 to 1,000 barrels, containing 42 gallons of fuel each, leaked into the marsh, spokesman Jerry Engelhardt said. "

story.news.yahoo.com.

Who pays for this? The executives at the Houstin firm, or California taxpayers?

The insurance company for Kinder Morgan. However, that marshland won't be good for many years to come. The oil spill from the Valdez was over ten years ago but the bay it damaged has still not recovered. Its too bad.
