j,

If you are hearing something in the wind, it's a major sigh of relief coming from me. At 22, I went for the full load and DSWLF + DSWWF is 37% of my holdings. I was never concerned, but it's nice to see the movement of the last two days.

NTAIF is already flush with cash before the offering. They have something in mind and I think we'll find out what it is in the 4Q. If it's Deswell, then it becomes apparent that Deswell had been approached and wouldn't accept a share offering from Namtai. The only way they can get it is to buy it and I believe the price would be well above the current level, but $60M would be about the amount they would need. At the moment, I see no strong indications that Deswell is the reason they are raising cash.

Unless something happens, NTAIF will have earnings diluted by 1.67% in the 4Q. They have a use for the monies and won't be receiving until midway thru the quarter. The runup ex-offering is really confusing, but really works out well for those that had invested heavy ahead of the offering date.

Both companies will have to be watched closely over the next few months. Am anxiously awaiting the Q reports!!

For what it's worth,
Ron
