Network Equipment Manufacturers and Service Providers

Vertel(R) (Nasdaq:VRTL), a leading provider of multimanagement

SuperComm '99 an agreement with Atlantech Technologies to deliver
element management solutions to broadband access network equipment
manufacturers and service providers.
Vertel will sell, service and support Atlantech Technologies'
AccessVision family of products to build next generation Element
Management Systems (EMS) for Vertel's and Atlantech's growing list of
convergent network customers around the world.
Vertel will also provide a full range of custom development and
integration services for carriers and network equipment providers in
the access market. The partnership will allow Vertel to address the
broadest market with the most extensible suite of access management
applications in the industry.
"Service providers and network equipment manufacturers around the
globe use Vertel products and services to enhance their OSS solutions.
Adding AccessVision to our product and professional services portfolio
places Vertel in a leadership position in the access management niche
-- one of the fastest-growing segments of the OSS market," said Bruce
Brown, president and chief executive officer of Vertel.
"As customer demands become increasingly complex, the ability to
leverage industry-leading platform technology which provides
carrier-grade performance, scalability and extensibility is critical."

to deliver a broader range of element management applications to both
our customer bases."
Vertel is demonstrating AccessVision at SuperComm '99, booth
1741.

About AccessVision

AccessVision Management Framework is a set of element management
building blocks that allow integration with a carrier network using
open, standardized network management interfaces. Once integrated into
a network, the solution provides provisioning, fault and performance
management functions for network elements and provides framework that
integrates with higher order operations support systems.
AccessVision delivers the scalability and performance required to
deliver integrated network management functionality across
multivendor, heterogeneous broadband access networks. It also offers
the flexibility required for rapidly integrating network and servicing
applications.
The AccessVision Management Toolkit dramatically reduces time
required to develop new service applications. The result is lower
deployment costs and faster time to market with new management
solutions.
