m... my take is that obama is an extreme ideologue( he ain't no bill clinton who governed to the center) he is on record that he 'might be a one term president' a la carter... meaning he has NO INTENT to govern from the center, and if it means no second term for him, so be it...(lots of book deals, speaking engagements, iow, he is COVERED wrt his FINANCIAL future) the point i'm trying to make is that considering his dem majority on both houses(blue dogs are you listening?) he is able to do untold damage to our economy before he is voted out....the best hope we have is a 2010 reversal of 'fortune' and that obama is seen as an 'obstructionist' (via the veto) to his ideological governance... iow, 'stagnation' until 2012... i'm not overly optimistic, but there is a sliver of hope
