Mark, or anyone, I have a problem...

I have a 2 yr. old Dell currently running winme
and using Internet Explorer.
Was using original win98 until hard drive gave up
about 3 weeks ago and had to be replaced.
Then couldn't get on internet and Dell techs concluded
that my modem had to be replace.
Did that and reloaded win98 but then a problem developed.
After deleting win98 and reloading it, the problem
was still there so I upgraded to winme... problem still exists.

Overview:
Everything works as it should on winme. However, I use
an internet based software to day trade the stock market
and therein is the problem.
The software I use is called Window on Wall Street (WOW).
It is basically a stock charting software that allows the
trader to (among other things) create charts of stocks
in real time. The time increments range from 1 minute to years - the data for this comes over the internet.

The problem:
I cannot receive increments from 1 min. to 60 min.
I receive no error messages.
The tech people at WOW can (using my password) receive
this data... and I can receive it on my old computer as
I have for several years.

My conclusion:
Something is either blocking or has been deleted from
my Dell system. Someone suggested that I may have a
missing dll. file, whatever that is!

Any ideas?
