Adwiz... The professor probably has a point.. I'm not exactly sure where it is. Many large successful companies acquire companies to grow their business. Market share, technology or eliminating competition, etc. are acquired. IMO - CPQ is a very profitable company that sees a window of opportunity to position itself for changing times in the future, by acquiring an undervalued company. Just think how much they would have to pay if DEC made money. IF (notice big IF) CPQ can successfully integrate DEC into its organization it will be a more solid company in the future. "Mr. Professor a question please".... "Long term (since that's when I will need this money), How does CPQ's upside potential and downside risk rate in comparison to other tech companies?" What is this Professor's track record? Loki Strategos = Makers of Stratego??? Who are some of their clients?
